It was a special moment for sure. For this session, the family in three generations celebrated in traditional style ! Started by the girl’s 7th year Shichigosan, but the best is yet to come, her mother and grandmother joined in gourgeous Kimono ….Thanks to her big brother, everyone’s smile is shining.
It was CorgiMark’s very first three generation Kimono session. How exciting !
CorgiMark Photography had a great opportunity to welcome guests at the Japan Festival of Ottawa welcomes the World, the event to celebrate Canada 150 ! At my site (between Subaru and Toyota) we run a fundraising activity for Hurricane Relief by having Kimono Try-on and photo-taking booth. We had a wonderful time and overwhelming results by collecting 465 dollars ! All proceed was donated to Canadian Red Cross. Thank you all who visited, helped, and had a great time with us !

“Omiyamairi” is one of the Japanese tradition for newborn and the family. With special Kimono and ornaments the baby is wrapped around with love and joy.
Here in CorgiMark Studio in Canada, this is my first session for this type of celebration. I am very excited to announce that we are ready with lots of beautiful decorations for boys and girls !
His sister joined to cheer him up !
It always makes my spirits high when I get a privilege to capture such precious moments. The kimono this girl is wearing here was once belonged to her mother. Then her grandmother altered the kimono to fit her so the family tradition continues in Canada. I am so happy to be involved in this special occasion!
I had a great opportunity of photo-shooting this couple who celebrate the same birthday in traditional style ! This is his first Kimono shot but he looks so natural. Her mother’s kimono seems enjoying to be in this special moments …
